The North East is experiencing greater than average interest in the holiday and residential park home market and now is very possibly the best time to buy for a variety of reasons. As new parks are springing up some of these are in terrific locations but with a limited number of plots, so the key is definitely to get out to them quickly to secure a spot quickly. Deneside luxury lodge park is no exception. Recently released, it’s an exclusive development of just 17 lodges spaced well apart, overlooking green fields and rolling hills. This particular spot is at the end of the Weardale Railway heritage line, and is nestled quietly on the banks of the River Wear.
It was a double celebration for Sunset Park of Hambleton, Lancashire as Chairman Michael Taylor received his National Caravan Council Award for 40 years of service to the Caravan Industry and Sunset Park Manager, Christine Mooney received her award for 25 years service. The awards were presented at the NCC Conference at Harrogate. Chris was also presented with a watch from Sunset Park for her 25 years of loyal service to the company.

When Mike and Ann Lawrence decided to downsize they were looking for something a bit specific, like many of us would be.
They had sold their home in West Wickham, Kent and wanted a base which was not only a great place to live, but also a great base when they felt like a break in their touring caravan. They researched the market very well and approached their park home move from two directions initially – visiting shows and visiting park home sites. They managed to narrow the sites down to three and of those they found that a Tingdene park in Wiltshire, Trowbridge Park, really stood out.
Readers won't have too much longer to wait for the next copy of Park Lifestyle as it will soon be available at The Caravan & Motorhome Show 2012 from two stands - Prestige Park and Leisure Homes (stand number 3-105) and Towergate Insurance (stand number 3-47). The event will be the biggest ever held in the north west following the announcement it will be be one of the first shows held at EventCity, Manchester – the second largest exhibition venue outside London with free parking for 3,000 cars and situated alongside the Trafford Centre just outside Manchester. The Caravan & Motorhome Show 2012 show will run from 19 to 22 January and will be 50% bigger than 2011 with over 200 exhibitors showcasing the latest caravan, motorhomes and accessories and a park home/leisure lodge section too.
Prestige Park & Leisure Homes has scooped their second major award in a year at the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards.

On October 9th Richard Sigsworth, Director of Sales and Marketing at Britannia Parks, is bravely taking part in the 10k Commando Challenge in Exeter www.commandochallenge.co.uk with a group of friends to raise funds for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust. He says: "It will no doubt be very wet, very hard running and probably very cold - I’m not really sure why I agreed to it!"
